Abstract

Naxos cardiocutaneous syndrome is characterized by woolly hair, palmoplantar keratoderma and arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy. The syndrome is caused by a mutation of the gene codifying for plakoglobin, a multifunctional adhesive and signaling protein.
