Pseudolymphoma with disturbing clinical and histologic findings. Case report.

Abstract

An 11-year-old girl presented with a skin nodule of the face. Its clinical features and pathological findings were not able to differentiate between a malignant lesion as cutaneous lymphoma type B and a benign lesion as pseudolymphoma. Thirty months after surgery, no evidence of recurrence was observed, either locally and/or at a distance, thus suggesting a non malignant skin lesion. Meticulous follow-up can help physicians in the management of skin lesions of uncertain interpretation.
