Eruptive pseudoangiomatosis subsequent to vaccination.

Abstract

Eruptive pseudoangiomatosis is a benign, asymptomatic and self-limiting childhood skin disorder, whose etiopathogenesis is still unknown. Although recently and rarely reported in literature, its real incidence is probably underestimated. We describe a child with acute onset and spontaneous resolution of angioma-like papules subsequent to a vaccination. The biopsy specimen showed pathological findings consisting of dilated dermal blood vessels with plump endothelial cells. On the basis of the natural history and the pathological findings we suggested the diagnosis of eruptive psudoangiomatosis subsequent to vaccination.
